    - Cancellations due to closed port or cruise not making it to port - 100% - Cancellations 15 days prior to the activity - 100% - Cancellations 7 days prior to the activity - 50% - If the weather is bad we can try to schedule for another day without penalty.
  • How long does it take to start fishing once we leave shore?
    Within minutes we'll be ready to start catching!
  • Is it possible to do some snorkeling during the trip?
    Yes, but only during the 6 and 8-hour charters. We can take you to a great location, the reef or the famous El Cielo, and we'll also provide you with snorkel equipment!
  • Which amenities are available onboard the Grand Slam (deep sea fishing)?
    When you book a trip with Aquadventures you can expect the following amenities onboard: - Toilet Full-head - Fighting Chair - Fish finder - Bed - Flybridge - Snorkeling equipment upon request, snorkeling outside the Marine Park - Outriggers - Cooler with water & drinks

  • What if I get sea sick?
    The best thing to do is to take cautionary measures before the trip like buying medicine to prevent it. Taking over-the-counter medication such as Marazine, Bonine, Dramamine, and some antihistamines such as Benadryl have proven to be effective.   • Can we keep the fish we catch?
    The crew is happy to clean them for you. We can have it for lunch or you can take it with you. Some restaurants and hotels will cook it for you.
  • I am on a Cruise ship, Can we modify our starting time?
    Yes, we work with cruise clients daily and will adjust our schedule accordingly. Please make sure to mention the name of the cruise and the disembarking and embarking times.
  • Where will we meet?
    If you are staying in a hotel with a pier, we can arrange to meet you there (some fees may apply). If you are coming on a cruise ship, or staying at a house/apartment/hotel that does not have a pier, we will wait for you at the marina. Getting to the marinas is fast and easy using the local taxi service. If you are taking the Playa del Carmen ferry, we will meet you at Aldora Pier just a couple of blocks south of the ferry terminal.
  • What's included in the trip's price?
    On board, we will have soda, beer, purified bottled water, fruit, bait, licenses, and all the fishing gear needed. On 6 and 8-hour trips, we offer sandwiches or guacamole. You are also welcome to bring more food/drinks/gear, or if you want us to buy something for you, like a special brand of beer, ceviche, tequila, or else, just let us know and we will get it, and add it to the balance.
